  • Wednesday Night at Windows
    Every Wednesday Evening Carl Hosts Wednesday Nights Each Wednesday evening around 6 PM, between 15 and 30 Prime Timers begin gathering for drinks and dinner at "Windows". The evening begins with drinks in the bar above The Dupont Italian Kitchen (aka "Windows") at 1637 17th St NW, Washington, DC 20009. Around 7:30 PM we repair to the Dining Room downstairs, where we dine from a widely varied, and modestly priced menu. The evening generally concludes between 8:30-9 PM. Your intrepid Host for the evening is our very own Carl (pictured left). Everyone is encouraged to drop in any Wednesday evening. If you're new to the group, please find Carl. He'll be more than happy to introduce you to "The Regulars".
  • 4th Sunday at 4 at Windows
    Each 4th Sunday of the Month, 4 PM until about 6 PM 4th Sunday at 4 Some Prime Timers can't make it to Wednesday Nights at Windows because they may work late, or they may choose to avoid the DC Rush Hour. For those gentlemen and for anyone else, there's "4th Sunday at 4". We chose the day and time to make it easy to remember. The Sunday crowd seems a bit more "laid back", having been away from DC's frenetic weekday pace for a day or two. They're generally dressed a bit more smartly, and their conversations perhaps just a bit more fanciful. Sometime around 5 PM, the club buys 3 or more large Dupont Italian Kitchen Pizzas for our Members and Guests.
  • Monthly Movie Group
    2nd Saturday Evening of Every Month Movie Icon Prime Timers has a Monthly Movie Group that Don C. and Rich Marquart host. On the 2nd Saturday of every month Prime Timers and Friends meet in front of a DC theater for an early evening movie. After the show they go out for a drink to a nearby pub. The theaters and movies are chosen during the first week of the month and you can usually find out which theater, it's location, and the movie chosen, by clicking here and going to the Prime Timer's NEWS page. Rich and Don are always open to ideas for movies and theaters, so feel free to contact them by way of their e-mail links, also found on the NEWS page.
  • Annual Holiday Parties & Events
    Various Dates Halloween Party Prime Timers of DC host several Holiday Parties throughout the year, often at local hotels. Pictured to your left are Prime Timers at our annual Halloween Party. There is also an annual Valentines Day Party in February and a Holiday Season Party held in December each year. In addition to the parties Prime Timers of DC hosts a booth at Washington, DC's Gay PRIDE Festival every June. Around July 4th we hold our Annual Meeting and Picnic in a suburban DC park, when new Board Members are elected and club business is discussed briefly before moving on to the real mission: eating and socializing. Every August two Prime Timers host their annual Pool Party.
  • Trips
    About Three Times a Year Fallingwater Trip Several times each year Prime Timers take a day-long bus trip together to a non-local destination. Past trips have included "Fallingwater" in south-central Pennsylvania (pictured left), "Longwood Gardens" in southeastern PA, and to Richmond, VA, where we were hosted by the Richmond chapter of Prime Timers.

    But perhaps the Premier Event every year is Prime Timers of DC's annual weekend long pilgramage to The Lost River Resort in Lost River WV, where Members and their Guests relax, socialize, go horseback riding, swim, and eat far too much.
